Tablets top smartphones, TV, as kids’ screen of choice: DHX Media survey

HALIFAX and TORONTO – The majority of children consume content daily from streaming services such as YouTube and Netflix, and tablets are their screen of choice, says a new global survey commissioned by DHX Media.The survey, conducted by Ipsos, polled 2,700 parents in Canada, the U.S. and the UK between September 2 and September 13, 2016 to determine how children aged 0-12 consume entertainment content and brands.  It found that 72% of children's daily viewing is from streaming services, and that when viewing content, 61% of kids use tablets.  Some 78% of households report having at least one tablet and 29% have...
