System access fee lawsuit okayed by court: report

REGINA – A Saskatchewan court has certified a class action lawsuit against Canada’s wireless companies over the charging of “system access” fees, says a report in today’s Toronto Star. According to the newspaper, the suit targets about $12 billion in those fees collected by the wireless companies from their customers over a number of years. The fact that such a lawsuit was certified doesn’t mean it has merit, just that it can proceed. Click here for The Star’s story.
