TORONTO – Help for dummies just keeps on coming.
The “OrganizeMy Electronic Filing Cabinet For Dummies” software, launched last February, is now being offered as a free download for Bell Sympatico customers.
Org-Matters Solutions Inc., creators of the software in partnership with John Wiley & Son’s “For Dummies” brand, announced the deal Monday, under which Bell Sympatico will offer customers a complimentary Personal Finance version of the software.
The software turns “chaos to sanity” for Windows users, the company said, by enabling users to save and file all of their vital information in an easy to-use, pre-loaded file structure. The software also contains life-tracking tools to help users record key details and complete pre-built “To-Do’s” for important life events and responsibilities.
“Consumers told us three things”, said Michael Schweizer, president & CEO, OrganizeMy Electronic Filing Cabinet For Dummies.
“They are time constrained, so they need ready-to-go solutions. They’re being bombarded more and more with important electronic and paper documents they know they need to save, but have nowhere to put them, and most software is too complicated for the everyday consumer and tends to intimidate them.
“We set out to address these three issues, hence the launch of the software under the For Dummies brand. There is no brand in the world that is so widely accepted and understood as representing simple and easy-to-use as For Dummies,” Schweizer said in a statement.
The software is certified for Microsoft Windows XP and Windows Vista. Bell will offer the software as a free download to Sympatico customers through a link from the Bell Home Office website.
