SWIFT awards contracts worth $15 million for Huron County fibre expansion projects

HURON COUNTY, Ont. — In its latest funding announcement, Southwestern Integrated Fibre Technology (SWIFT) announced today more than $15 million in contracts have been awarded to support 10 fibre-to-the-home projects that will expand high-speed broadband access to 1,854 households and businesses in Huron County, Ont. These newly announced projects are receiving $7.3 million in funding through SWIFT, in partnership with the governments of Ontario and Canada, and which also includes a $2.8-million contribution from Huron County.
