Superchannel hopes Maple is sticky with viewers


EDMONTON – Yet-to-be-launched digital pay service Superchannel said today it has signed a deal with Maple Pictures, where Superchannel will be the exclusive broadcaster of Maple Pictures’ latest theatrical features and series offered in the subscription pay television window. The follows deals announced earlier this week with MGM and NBC Universal. The channel has yet to announce carriage deals with Canadian TV distributors. Among the first titles offered will be Saw III, Happily N’ever After, Death of a President and The US vs. John Lennon.
