Super Channel hires former Bell exec as new chief revenue officer

EDMONTON – Media company Super Channel said today that it has appointed former Bell executive Tanuka Roy as its chief revenue officer starting tomorrow.

Roy will be responsible for “leading Super Channel’s deployment into new platforms and related revenue streams, including FAST channels and others, as well as to develop and enhance the company’s relationships with BDU Affiliates through the implementation of co-operative marketing campaigns,” according to a press release.

Roy was previously Bell Media’s associate director of OTT and digital products for more than eight years. She was a product development lead for Bell’s Crave, led the launch of the DTC versions of sports channels TSN and RDS, and led the digital expansion of several Bell brands.

After her Bell stint, she consulted on the launch of a new direct-to-consumer app for WildTV, according to the release. She was also director of multiplatform services and affiliate marketing manager at Astral Television Networks.

Roy holds a Masters of Business Administration Management Studies (Marketing Major) from Bombay University and is an active member of the Cable and Telecommunications Association for Marketing.

Super Channel, a national pay television network, is owned by Edmonton-based Allarco Entertainment.
