EDMONTON – Super Channel announced this week it will be celebrating 67 days of Christmas beginning November 1st.
The second annual Heart & Home Christmas holiday programming event, will feature new Christmas movies every weekend and begin Friday, November 1st at 8 p.m. and end January 7.
“We are very excited that our Heart & Home Christmas event is going to run for a longer period this year and include an even bigger selection of Christmas themed movies,” said Don McDonald, Super Channel’s president and CEO, in a release. “We are especially proud to be able to bring so many high-quality Canadian made holiday features to our Christmas slate from such talented producers as Brain Power Studio, Chesler Perlmutter Productions and Good Soldier Films.”
The Heart & Home Christmas holiday programming event includes curated Christmas themed movies as seen on Hallmark, UPtv, Lifetime and ION in the U.S., all of which will air commercial free and will be available on Super Channel On Demand throughout the holiday season and beyond.
A new holiday movie will premiere every Friday and Saturday in November and December (with a new premiere every night the week of Christmas), offering viewers over 700 hours of family-friendly, Christmas themed movies across 67 days. In all, a total of 103 holiday features will air, 40 of which are new to Super Channel Heart & Home and includes 20 titles making their Canadian premieres.
The Canadian made A Very Corgi Christmas from Good Soldier Films is just one of 12 Canadian made holiday movies set to debut.
The Christmas programming event will be supported extensively on-air and online with a dedicated webpage, as well as across all Super Channel social media platforms. Viewers will have the opportunity to enter the “Home for the Holidays” giveaway, which will run from September 25 to November 6th and offer viewers a chance to win a trip home for the holidays for themselves, a special friend, loved one or family member.
Viewers can also look forward to the unveiling of the second annual Super Channel Heart & Home Christmas Ornament, which will be given away to lucky winners throughout the festive season.
