EDMONTON – Super Channel has named Jenny Hacker as director of programming and Marlene Lone to the newly created role of director of affiliate marketing.
Hacker (pictured right) was most recently VP of content at Diply, and held roles at CBC prior to that. In her new role, she will lead Super Channel’s domestic and foreign program acquisitions for three of its four channels (Fuse, Heart & Home and Vault) plus oversee development and production of the network's Canadian productions.
Lone (pictured below) joins Super Channel from Rogers Communications where she was executive producer of in-house productions for Citytv and OMNI. Prior to joining Rogers, she held the position of creative director at CHUM Television. Her primary responsibility at Super Channel will be to liaise with BDU marketing groups to jointly develop and implement cooperative marketing strategies to increase subscriber growth and retention.
Grant Campbell, currently director of affiliate sales and marketing at Super Channel, sees his role revised to director of affiliate sales and will continue to be based in Edmonton.
Both Hacker and Lone will be based in Toronto and report to president and CEO Don McDonald.
“I am delighted to welcome both Jenny and Marlene to Super Channel,” McDonald said in Thursday’s announcement. “Together they bring a wealth of industry experience and expertise that will be of great value to Super Channel, our business partners and our subscribers.”
