Stringray, Bell, sing from same song sheet


MONTREAL – Stingray Digital has signed a long term agreement with Bell that will allow Bell’s Fibe TV to become the first in North America to launch the new Galaxie Mediaroom Application.

The interactive music application allows Galaxie customers to leverage the flexibility of the Microsoft Mediaroom IPTV platform, for example, to browse all 45 channels and see what’s playing without changing the current channel.

“As an independent Canadian broadcaster, Stingray is thrilled to be working with Bell on such a comprehensive set of multi-platform services,” said president Eric Boyko, in Wednesday’s announcement. “The Galaxie brand has been built over 14 years in Canada and the service continues to evolve to meet the changing needs of Canadian music lovers.”

The commercial-free pay audio service will be also be available to Bell’s satellite TV customers.
