Strike averted as MTS, TEAM union members reach tentative collective agreement

WINNIPEG – MTS Inc. announced Tuesday that it had reached a new tentative collective agreement with the Telecommunications Employees Association of Manitoba (TEAM) union. TEAM will be recommending approval of the agreement to its 1,000-plus members working at MTS, who were in a legal strike position as of today. Union members will vote later this month to ratify the agreement. The union, which represents 1200 Manitoba-based employees in professional and managerial roles, represents approximately one-third of the workforce at MTS Inc. through TEAM-IFPTE Local 161.
