TORONTO – Bell Media’s television streaming service CraveTV is now officially available to all Canadian Internet users, whether or not they have a paid subscription to a TV service provider.

For $7.99 per month, CraveTV can be streamed via iOS, online, and to TV screens through Apple TV, Chromecast and select Samsung Smart TVs and Blu-Ray players.  It's also available through TV service providers including Telus, Eastlink, Sasktel, and Bell TV at a lower (unspecified) price.

New users get one month free when they subscribe, which they may do at CraveTV.ca or by downloading the CraveTV app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.

Anchored by big name content from HBO and Showtime, the programming lineup also includes Canadian exclusives such as Manhattan, Bosch, and Deadbeat plus Golden Globe-nominated dramedy Casual.  Coinciding with the service’s direct-to-consumer launch is the addition of Showtime drama Billions starring Paul Giamatti and Damian Lewis.

Bell said Thursday that it has kicked off a national marketing campaign across TV, radio, out of home, digital, and social channels, including a new TV spot that will debut January 16 during CTV’s afternoon broadcast of the NFL playoffs.

“We’re very proud to enter into the next phase of this incredible service, offering the most premium TV content in Canada at the best price,” said Bell Media president Mary Ann Turcke, in the news release.  “Some of the best television in recent memory is available on CraveTV, and we’re delighted all Canadians with access to the Internet will have a chance to discover and enjoy this content, when they want, on the device of their choice.”
