MONTREAL – Stingray has struck a content partnership with Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN), and radio broadcasters Native Communications and First Peoples Radio to promote Aboriginal music from Canada.

All Stingray Music mobile app users may now listen to contemporary artists from Canada’s First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities through new channels “Aboriginal Music from Canada – Contemporary” and “Aboriginal Music from Canada – Retro”.  With content curated in collaboration with APTN and NCI-FM Manitoba, the channels are currently streaming worldwide on the Stingray Music mobile app.

“We could not claim to be a truly Canadian music service without promoting the talent of our country’s First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities,” said Stingray’s SVP marketing and communications Mathieu Péloquin, in the news release. “We are truly honoured that APTN, NCI-FM Manitoba, and FPR choose Stingray as a partner to share the vitality of their music with the world.”
