Stingray expands TV channels and SVOD services with eight OTT providers


MONTREAL — Music service provider and broadcaster Stingray announced Tuesday it’s launching free, ad-supported TV channels and premium subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) services with eight major OTT providers, growing the company’s potential reach to more than 300 million viewers.

With this announcement, Stingray is establishing new partnerships with Huawei Video (global), Vizio (U.S.), TiVo Plus (U.S.) and Cliq Digital (U.S.), while also solidifying existing relationships with Samsung (U.S.), izzi (Mexico), XUMO (U.S.) and LG (U.S.).

Stingray’s free, ad-supported TV (FAST) channels to be carried by OTT providers within their existing entertainment platforms include:

  • Qello Concerts by Stingray (concert films, full-length live shows, and music documentaries): carried by Samsung, XUMO, LG and Vizio.
  • Stingray Karaoke (huge library of songs to sing along to in every genre): carried by XUMO and LG.
  • Stingray Classica (symphonies, operas, and ballets): carried by STIRR.

Stingray also took this opportunity to rebrand its Stingray Ambiance TV channel as Stingray Naturescape, which is now carried by Samsung, Vizio, XUMO, LG and TiVo Plus.

Stingray’s SVOD services to be carried by the OTT providers include:

  • Qello Concerts by Stingray: carried by izzi and Huawei Video
  • Stingray Karaoke: carried by izzi
  • Stingray Music: carried by Cliq Digital
