MONTREAL – Stingray Digital has signed an eight year renewal with Videotron for the distribution of its Galaxie music channels and Galaxie music videos.

As part of the expanded agreement, Videotron customers will have free, on demand access to Galaxie’s library of over 25,000 videos, available to illico subscribers on platforms including illico TV, online and on iPad and Android tablets via the illico.tv and illico mobile applications.

"We are particularly proud to have closed an important long-term renewal with our good partner Videotron," said Stingray Digital president and CEO Eric Boyko, in the news release.  "The Galaxie music channels are listened to by more than 60% of Canadians and now, in addition to the 51 Galaxie music channels, Videotron customers will also have access to the popular music video content on demand.”

“This contract renewal confirms our commitment to offer the best possible entertainment experience to our customers”, added Myrianne Collin, SVP of strategy and marketing at Videotron.   “We are certain that our subscribers will also appreciate the vast selection of music videos that are now available for them to watch on demand from Galaxie, on the device of their choice.”
