MONTREAL – Stingray announced yesterday holiday programming for Qello Concerts by Stingray, Stingray Classica, Stingray Karaoke, Stingray Naturescape, Stingray Music and Calm Radio.
Throughout December, users have access to free on-demand holiday concerts, performances, karaoke, digital fireplaces and more.
Qello Concerts is offering free access to festive concerts including “Blake Shelton’s first Christmas special, Not-So-Family Christmas, a star-studded event including both music and comedy,” says a press release.
Other Qello Concerts events include Glow: An Evening with Brett Eldredge, Live in New York: Holiday Edition, which features the a cappella group Straight No Chaser, and various concerts featuring popular artists such as Lady Gaga’s iTunes Festival 2013 – Live in London, Duran Duran’s Live from London, and Metallica’s Master of Puppets.
Stingray Classica is offering seasonal programs “on its linear and free ad-supported channels with several enchanting ballets, celebratory oratorios, and spiritual concerts,” the release says. “Viewers will undoubtedly enjoy watching the Imperial Ice Stars perform a series of captivating performances with iconic classical ballets like The Nutcracker, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty,” the press release says.
Over on the Stingray Karaoke app and subscription Video on Demand services, there are curated thematic playlists, which feature classics, pop hits and kids’ specials. “Users can also enjoy the Christmas selection via connected TVs carrying the Stingray Karaoke channel to keep the party going,” says the release.
“With Caraoke, Tesla drivers can also sing along to the best holiday songs directly from the vehicle’s touchscreen. Lastly, Stingray Karaoke is available on YouTube for free and now features 68 holiday favorites.”
Stingray Naturescape will once again feature its “legendary” fireplace, the release says. There will be 12 fireplaces set to different music 24 hours a day, seven days per week. They are available on linear television, connected television and subscription Video on Demand. Stingray Naturescape’s YouTube channel also has a free Crackling Fires playlist that includes a collection of one-hour videos.
Stingray Music is offering curated holiday channels including Best Christmas Songs of All Time, Today’s Christmas Hits, and Christmas Crooners, as well as special channels like Classical Christmas, Reggae for the Holidays, A Very Punk-Rock Christmas, and Merry Indie Christmas.
Stingray’s Calm Radio also has a selection of Christmas playlists featuring favourites including Holiday Spirit, Jazz Christmas, Country Christmas, and Christmas MegaMix. “Stingray’s Calm Christian Music also offers its very own curated playlists with Christmas selections like Solo Piano Hymns and Christmas Ballads,” says the press release.
