Steve Hayden, Shari Swan headliners at CTAM Summit


WASHINGTON – Oglivy & Mather Worldwide vice-chair Steve Hayden will talk about brand marketing and Streative Branding founder and CEO Shari Swan will deliver a keynote on next generation trends at the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) conference, running July 23-25 in Washington, DC.

Hayden, who joined Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide in 1994, was co-creator of the “1984” Orwellian take-off campaign for Apple, and has led a number of highly successful campaigns for American Express, Kodak, Motorola, Dove and Cisco.

Swan founded Streative Branding in Amsterdam, which focuses on global consumer trend analysis and consumer insight reporting for a broad range of international clients including O2, Bacardi, Nike, Estée Lauder, Coca-Cola and UPC.

The closing panel will pull together Hayden and Swan’s keynote topics, along with many of the other issues discussed at the Summit. The panel includes Glenn Britt, president and CEO of Time Warner Cable; George Bodenheimer, president of ESPN, Inc. and ABC Sports, co-chair of Disney Media Networks; Mark Cuban, co-founder and chair of HDNet; Neil Smit, president & CEO of Charter Communications; and Debora Wilson, president and CEO of The Weather Channel Companies.

For Canadians, CTAM Canada is hosting its annual Canadian Member Cocktail Reception and Dinner on July 23 at the Canadian Embassy in Washington, DC. The reception runs from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the embassy. The dinner will be held at the French restaurant Le Paradou, just around the corner from the embassy, from 7 p.m. Tickets are $100 for CTAM members and $100 plus $55 membership fee for non-members.
