HAMILTON – Source Cable and Cable 14’s Mike Fortune took part in the Media Idol competition in support of the Hamilton East Kiwanis Boys and Girls Club “Send a Kid to Camp” campaign.
The ever popular CTV Canadian Idol made its way to Hamilton where local media representatives sang their hearts out for the charity of their choice.
“I am thrilled to be part of this fun event and lend my support to this wonderful charity,” said Fortune, who has been involved in the Hamilton East Kiwanis Boys and Girls Club for many years. “A donation of $1000 can send five kids to day-camp for an entire week, where they can take a break from city life and enjoy the great outdoors.”
Fortune sang the classic Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, a bed-time song he sings regularly to his three year old son Jayden.
