Staples Canada launches wireless services in southern Ontario

RICHMOND HILL, Ont. — Staples Canada announced today it has introduced wireless services at 15 stores in southern Ontario in partnership with mobile carriers Rogers and Telus.

The new wireless services, operating under the name Staples Wireless, provide customers with access to the latest smartphones and accessories as well as customized group and individual plans from Rogers and its flanker brands Fido and Chatr, and Telus and its discount brands Koodo and Public Mobile.

“Small and medium businesses will benefit from this tailored approach, as Staples Wireless can help match communication and wireless needs to the right solutions and services, balancing the right plan with the right device and accessories, all delivered in a convenient and efficient manner,” reads a Staples Canada press release.

Staples Wireless experts “will help customers choose the best device and accessories to keep them connected and protected, as well as offering additional solutions, including flexible payment options and added device protection,” says the release.

Customers will also be able to choose data rate plans from the carriers for tablet devices purchased in select Staples Canada stores.

Staples Canada did not respond to a request for comment on why Bell was not included in Staples Wireless as a carrier.
