Standard Broadband getting $1.6 million in UBF money to connect 324 Halton homes

HALTON REGION — Funded through the federal government’s Universal Broadband Fund rapid response stream, a new project to bring high-speed Internet to 324 underserved homes in Ontario’s Halton region was announced today. The ISP undertaking the project, Acton, Ont.-based Standard Broadband, is receiving $1.6 million in federal funding to deliver high-speed broadband service to rural residents of Haltonville and Moffat.
