TORONTO — Corus Entertainment wants more StackTV customers for Christmas.
The company continues to push its StackTV offering hard, today announcing the multi-channel package will provide unlimited holiday viewing with a variety of new festive programming from across the company’s channels.
Available through Amazon Prime Video Channels, the StackTV streaming service gives subscribers access to 12 Corus networks, including Global, HGTV Canada, Food Network Canada, W Network, Showcase, Adult Swim, Slice, National Geographic, History, Teletoon, Treehouse and YTV. Corus announced last quarter it has almost 300,000 StackTV subscribers.
Yesterday, the company announced a special Black Friday and Cyber Monday promotion which offers new customers who sign up for StackTV through Amazon Prime Video Channels, between November 23 and 30, a 50% discount on the first three months of their subscription.
The festive programming on Corus’s channels available to StackTV subscribers includes Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas on W Network, Food Network Canada’s Holiday Baking Championship, YTV’s Merry Everything, and SNL’s Christmas Special on Global.
Having kicked off on November 1 and running until January 1, Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas on W Network includes 39 new exclusive premieres this season, along with a long list of returning favourites, for close to 1,500 hours of holiday cheer over two months.
New episodes of season seven of Holiday Baking Championship drop on Food Network Canada every Monday at 9 p.m. ET. The channel’s festive programming continues with new episodes of Christmas Cookie Challenge on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET and Buddy vs. Christmas on Mondays at 10 p.m. ET.
Running from December 5 to 27, YTV’s Merry Everything programming is available to watch live or stream any time. YTV’s lineup of holiday movies and specials includes winter-themed episodes of SpongeBob Squarepants, The Loud House and Casagrandes, as well as season two of Top Elf (airing the week of December 7-12). In addition, Nickelodeon delivers cheer with The All Star Nickmas Spectacular on December 11 at 6 p.m. ET.
Also available to StackTV subscribers, Global’s holiday programming includes the one-hour special 2020 Greatest Holiday Commercials Countdown, available to stream on Saturday, December 12 at 8 p.m. ET, and the annual SNL Christmas Special 2020 on Saturday, December 19 at 8 p.m. ET.
