TORONTO – Canada’s sports networks are tipping off their 4K productions with live coverage of Toronto Raptors broadcasts.

As Cartt.ca readers know, 4K is billed as intensifying the live sports viewing experience with enhanced motion detail, increased screen pixel counts, and greater brightness range.

Rogers-owned Sportsnet is airing the Toronto Raptors versus the Orlando Magic on January 14 at 3:00 PM ET, live from The O2 Arena in London, England.  Rogers cable customers can tune their NextBox 4K set top box to channel 999 to get the game, and Sportsnet will also air the game in HD on Sportsnet East, Ontario, West and Pacific, and Sportsnet One.

Bell’s TSN will debut 4K on January 20 at 7:30 PM ET on its broadcast of the Toronto Raptors and Boston Celtics matchup.  TSN's five national feeds will also offer select 4K broadcasts over the next few months starring the Toronto Raptors, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Ottawa Senators .

Rogers announced last October that it would broadcast over 100 live events in 4K this year, including every Toronto Blue Jays 2016 season home games and more than 20 NHL games, starting with the Montreal Canadiens versus Toronto Maple Leafs game on January 23.
