Sportsnet serves up multi-platform coverage of 2013 Rogers Cup


TORONTO – Rogers-owned Sportsnet is gearing up to bring fans multiplatform coverage of the men’s and women’s first three rounds and quarterfinals of the 2013 Rogers Cup from both Toronto and Montreal.

From August 5 to 9, coverage of the Rogers cup will be available on Sportsnet, sportsnet.ca, Sportsnet 590 The FAN and Rogers Anyplace TV on computer, mobile and tablet.

The top 40 men and 32 of the top 35 women will compete at the tennis tournaments. The men’s tournament in Montreal will feature current world No. 1 and defending Rogers Cup champion Novak Djokovic, eight-time French Open winner Rafael Nadal, 17-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer and current Wimbledon champ and two-time Rogers Cup winner Andy Murray. Canadian Milos Raonic of Thornhill, Ont., currently ranked world No. 13, will also compete.

The women’s tournament in Toronto will see 24 of 25 top players competing, including current world No. 1 and former Rogers Cup winner Serena Williams, former world No. 1 players Caroline Wozniacki and Ana Ivanovic, and Canadian Eugenie Bouchard, currently ranked No. 55.

RogersAnyplaceTV.com and Rogers Anyplace TV Live mobile app will feature live streaming of Sportsnet’s TV coverage on computer, mobile and tablet, while Sportsnet.ca will feature a live stream of men’s and women’s singles play on the secondary courts

In addition to providing breaking news, scores and updates, radio station Sportsnet 590 The FAN will air a special one-hour tennis show about the Rogers Cup called Aces on August and August 8 at 7 p.m. ET.
