Sportsnet Fantasy Hockey contests to award $250,000 in cash and prizes

TORONTO — With the return of the NHL this week, Sportsnet announced today three exclusive NHL Fantasy Hockey contests that will pay out more than $250,000 in cash and prizes throughout the Stanley Cup qualifiers and Stanley Cup playoff rounds.

Available exclusively on Sportsnet.ca and the Sportsnet app, the three contests complement the network’s exclusive national English-language coverage of NHL games as the league resumes play.

First up, the Sportsnet Fantasy Hockey Pool: Playoffs Edition presented by Ram invites fans to create their own NHL dream team in the digital race to the Stanley Cup. Launched July 15 for the start of the Stanley Cup qualifiers, the Sportsnet Fantasy Hockey Pool will award more than $130,000 in cash and prizes, including the grand prize winner’s choice of a 2020 Ram 4×4 Crew Cab truck — either a Ram 1500 Sport or a Ram 2500 Night Edition customized with Mopar accessories. Fans can enter now at sportsnet.ca/RAM.

The second contest, the Sportsnet Fantasy Hockey Playoffs Bracket presented by Canadian Tire, lets Canadians test their luck as they select series favourites from the Stanley Cup qualifiers to the Stanley Cup Final. Open for submissions prior to puck drop on August 1, the Sportsnet Fantasy Hockey Playoffs Bracket will award more than $50,000 in cash and prizes. Fans can create their bracket online at sportsnet.ca/CTbracket.

Finally, the Predict the Playoffs Contest is an in-app contest experience that encourages fans to make bold, split-second predictions in real-time while watching live games on TV. Fans will have several opportunities to play within each hockey game every night, increasing their chances to win the grand prize of $50,000 and daily awards of $1,000. Predict the Playoffs opens for registration on August 4 and officially launches for the start of the Stanley Cup playoffs on August 11. Complete details, including instructions and rules, will be available on sportsnet.ca in the coming days.
