TORONTO – Move over Netflix, Sony Pictures Television's free multi-platform video entertainment network Crackle has arrived in Canada.
The ad-supported service offers movies, television series and original programming to consumers online, via mobile and across Sony's Blu-ray players, Bravia televisions and network media players. Crackle can be accessed from the video section on the Sony Entertainment Network and titles are refreshed monthly.
"Crackle draws viewers in with its unique offering of ad-supported Hollywood films and television series," said digital networks EVP Eric Berger, in the announcement. "By making our collection of content available on even more devices in Canada, we're bringing an unparalleled viewing experience directly to consumers through their internet-enabled televisions."
Created in the summer of 2007, Crackle is based out of Sony Pictures Entertainment’s studio lot in Los Angeles.
