Some 13% of U.S. households have cut the cord: Kagan

NEW YORK - The number of U.S. homes that have broadband but no traditional multichannel video package grew by 2 million in 2016, says new research by Kagan, a media research group within S&P Global Market Intelligence.Gains from the fourth quarter alone total more than 400,000.  Approximately 15.4 million, or one out of six broadband-subscribing homes, have made the decision not to take a traditional multichannel package, continues the report.  The company projects that number will rise to 28 million homes by 2021.“That forecast could end on the conservative side given the speed at which the TV ecosystem and the U.S....
