
TORONTO – Blue Ant Media has promoted Solange Attwood to executive vice president, international of its transatlantic content distribution division.
In her new role, Attwood (pictured) will continue to oversee the strategic direction of Blue Ant Media’s international distribution arm. Her portfolio includes spearheading co-productions for the international sales group, pre-sales and worldwide sales activities, while overseeing the business’ ongoing expansion and sales offices in London (UK) and Toronto. Attwood joined the company in 2014 as senior vice-president of international.
“Over the past four years, Solange has organically built a distribution business at Blue Ant that has grown from a few hundred hours of content to a robust catalog with hundreds of hours of premium programming, in a broad range of categories,” said Blue Ant Media CEO Michael MacMillan, in Thursday’s announcement. “Solange’s leadership in content distribution combined with her proven track record of delivering on client needs and customer service has been a key driver of our Blue Ant Media’s growth.”
In related news, Blue Ant International announced that it has pre-sold original lifestyle series Crazy Beautiful Weddings (10×30’HD) to U.S.-based cable channel UP TV, and Best Cake Wins (10×30’HD), created by Toronto-based content production company Architect Films, to BYUtv.
