Slacker Canadian Music Week names young broadcaster of the year winner

TORONTO – Victoria radio host Brittany King has been selected as the recipient of the 2012 Allan Waters Young Broadcaster of the Year Award in memory of Steve Young. The award, which will be presented March 24 at the Radio Consultants Round Table Breakfast during Slacker Canadian Music Week, was created in the memory of its namesake to honour a rising star in the Canadian broadcast industry.  The recipient is chosen by a Canadian broadcaster committee known as ‘The Friends of Steve Young’, and is awarded annually to a broadcaster under the age of thirty.
