SiriusXM unveils new streaming app and refreshed logo


TORONTO – SiriusXM unveiled Wednesday a new streaming app and a refreshed brand platform including a new logo and dog mascot named Stella.

The new SiriusXM app will start rolling out to subscribers across North America starting on Dec. 14. Initially, it will be available in the App Store, Google Play and on Amazon Fire devices, with additional platforms and features to come in early 2024.

SiriusXM also announced the newly priced Streaming All Access Plan (app only) for $9.99 a month, which is aimed at a new generation of SiriusXM listeners, says a press release.

SiriusXM says its new streaming app will offer listeners “a more personalized, easy-to-use, lean-back streaming experience that puts discovery at the forefront.”

“The introduction of the new SiriusXM streaming experience marks a pivotal moment in our history, one that kicks off a new era of innovation at our Company,” SiriusXM CEO Jennifer Witz said in the press release. “And this launch is just the beginning; we will continue to iterate and develop our product offerings throughout the next year and beyond as we strive to deliver our subscribers the best listening experience on the go, in the car, and wherever they choose to tune in.”

Key features coming to the new SiriusXM app include always-on personalization and curation, greater content discovery, a new and improved media player, enhanced search, improved podcast listening, a central audio library, and interactive onboarding, the release says.

In addition, SiriusXM announced new original programming coming to SiriusXM, including new artist channels Kelly Clarkson Connection, Life with John Mayer, Smokey’s Soul Town and Shaggy’s Boombastic Radio, as well as a new show from James Corden, a true crime channel with Ashley Flowers, and channel takeovers by more than 160 celebrity guest DJs.
