
TORONTO — SiriusXM announced today it will honour Women’s History Month, which is celebrated in the United States, with special programming and limited-run channels showcasing women “who’ve made lasting contributions to the worlds of music, business, health, politics, comedy, sports, entertainment, and more,” says a press release.
Four limited-engagement music channels will launch on SiriusXM in March, including Avril Lavigne Radio, The Lilith Fair Tribute Channel, My Church Radio from Maren Morris, and The Tina Turner Channel.
Music specials to air on SiriusXM will feature artists such as Alanis Morissette, Arlo Parks, Bonnie Raitt, Carly Pearce, Cat Power, Coi Leray, Dove Cameron, Ella Mai, En Vogue, Gwen Stefani, Haim, Icona Pop, Kany Garcia, Krewella, KT Tunstall, Lee Ann Womack, Martina McBride, Melissa Etheridge, Rita Wilson, Roxanne Shanté, Sarah McLachlan, Shemekia Copeland, Sheryl Crow, Tate McRae and Taylor Momsen, among others.
“All month long, listeners will also hear shows, performances, interviews, podcasts, special segments, and much more about and from female artists and leaders who inspire us all. Using all of its available platforms, SiriusXM and its brands are unified in amplifying the voices of women artists, creators and leaders, whether they are rising stars or established superstars,” reads the press release.
