TORONTO — In honour of what would have been David Bowie’s 75th birthday on Jan. 8, SiriusXM announced today the launch of an all-new, limited-run David Bowie Channel featuring music spanning the influential artist’s entire catalogue, including timeless classics and recently unearthed rarities.
“The David Bowie Channel will feature live tracks from concert performances, along with rare tracks and remixes of Bowie’s greatest songs,” reads a press release.
Listeners will also hear “favourite covers featuring popular artists doing their renditions of Bowie’s songs, as well as the Top 75 David Bowie tracks.”
Celebrity guest DJs including Beck, Billy Corgan, Linda Perry, Carlos Alomar, Rosanna Arquette, David Arquette and Patrick Stump, will “spotlight their favourite Bowie tunes and share memories of the iconic artist,” the release says.
The David Bowie Channel will be available for two weeks beginning today through Jan. 18 on SiriusXM’s channel 104, and throughout January on the SXM App.
