TORONTO – SiriusXM Canada has unveiled a new touchscreen radio that lets listeners enjoy SiriusXM through the in-dash audio system of their vehicles without the need to replace the factory-installed radio.

The SiriusXM Commander Touch includes a compact touchscreen colour display that responds to simple tap and swipe gestures.  It can be mounted safely just about anywhere in the vehicle and the hideaway tuner can be installed behind the vehicle's dashboard with concealed wiring, reads the news release. For a more custom look, a professional installer can use the included flush mounting kit to integrate into the vehicle's dash.

Starting at $169.99, customers who purchase the SiriusXM Commander Touch will get three-months of the SiriusXM All Access subscription free of charge, which includes all satellite radio channels plus access to programming beyond the vehicle on smartphones and other connected devices.

"SiriusXM Commander Touch offers drivers the ability to enjoy SiriusXM in their vehicle without replacing the factory-installed radio," said sales and marketing SVP Paul Cunningham, in the release.  "The new radio gives everyone in the car access to over 130 channels of music and exclusive content while integrating seamlessly into the vehicle."
