TORONTO – Showcase wants to bring viewers closer to its stars via its new podcast series Showcase Showcast.
The Showcase Showcast will keep fans up-to-date courtesy of network insiders, and include exclusive interviews with the stars of its leading series. The premiere edition debuted Wednesday with an interview with Kenny Hotz, the creator/co-star of the Canadian television show Kenny vs. Spenny. Other episodes will feature Justin Kirk and Hunter Parrish from Weeds, Shattered’s Callum Keith Rennie, and Lost Girl creator Michelle Lovretta.
“Showcase viewers consistently crave exclusive digital content and we are more than happy to answer their call with the addition of the Showcase Showcast,” said Chris Harris, director of digital content for Canwest Broadcasting, in the announcement. “The podcast is an uncensored, uninhibited and unscripted forum where the stars make the rules and anything can happen.”
Viewers can subscribe to the Showcase Showcast at showcase.ca and on iTunes. New podcasts will be released on a bi-weekly basis.
