TORONTO – Showcase viewers will be transported to a galaxy far, far away this weekend during a special broadcast event of back-to-back airings of the first six Star Wars films.
The action starts Saturday, October 7 with Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, Star Wars: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and continues Sunday, October 8 with Star Wars: A New Hope, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (pictured).
The movie marathon kicks off the multi-year licensing agreement between Showcase parent Corus Entertainment and The Walt Disney Studios announced in June that includes the broadcast rights to the Star Wars film franchise.
