TORONTO – Just in time for summer, shomi is offering new Kid-Approved Collections, curated by the children of shomi employees.
The new Collections include TV series and movies organized for kids in the under 5, 6-9, and 10-13 age groups, chosen by pint-sized in-house experts Abhijay (age 4.5), Haley (9), Coleman (12), Kaitlyn (12), Selas (9), Eamon and Abby (4), pictured left to right.
“It’s funny; as much as parents hope to influence what their kids watch, kids have an uncanny knack of discovering their own favourites. ‘Water-cooler buzz’ isn’t just for grown-up programming anymore. When my 8-year-old mentions that ‘Ninja Turtles’ are a hot topic at recess, I take notice. ‘Juice-box buzz’ is a great indicator of what’s trending in their world,” said shomi’s head of content and programming Marni Shulman, in the news release. “This year’s Collections range from nostalgia titles including Boy Meets World and The Sandlot to new titles like Sanjay and Craig and The Chronicles of Narnia movies – all perfect for a truly kid-approved streaming experience.”
