Shomi inks deal with EntertainmentOne for more than 175 films

TORONTO – Shomi will add more than 175 movie titles to its library in May after finalizing a content deal with Entertainment One (eOne).The agreement includes dramas such as Zero Dark Thirty, The Hurt Locker, and Pulp Fiction (pictured); Canadian cult-comedy Fubar; and family favourites like Gnomeo & Juliet, Coraline and Hoodwinked.  It also includes the exclusive Canadian streaming rights to Showtime’s Emmy-nominated Web Therapy and BBC Brit-comedy romp The Trip.“From classic to guilty pleasures, these new eOne titles take our movie catalogue to the next level,” said shomi's head of content and programming, Marni Shulman, in the news release....
