Shift Networks throws “VoIPline” to stranded WebNet users

CALGARY – Shift Networks, a provider of VoIP business telephone services, says it is coming to the aid of customers who will be stranded when WebNet Global Communications terminates VoIP phone and Internet services to its customers in the Abbotsford area.

The Alberta based company has offered to provide alternate telephone services to affected customers, with or without a live Internet connection, in less than 48 hours.

"We are able to activate WebNet customers on Shift’s service in minutes," says Pina Romolo, business development manager, Shift Networks. "Providing they are able to call forward their existing numbers to a newly assigned Shift number, they can begin to handle calls immediately," she adds. "Furthermore, if they have an existing high-speed Internet connection, they can simply plug in a Shift phone that we can priority ship and they are ensured business continuity."

For affected customers that may lose both Internet service and telephone service provided by WebNet, Shift can offer core telephone functionality by redirecting calls to a variety of devices, including cell phones, to ensure all incoming and outgoing calls are handled properly.

Shift has set up a priority option on their toll-free main number for Abbotsford customers that wish to discuss their options with Shift.
