CALGARY – With Calgarians heading to the polls next week, Shaw TV has pledged to air municipal election coverage commercial-free on Monday evening.
Election 2013 will begin with a preview at 7:30pm MT on Monday, October 21, followed by full coverage from 8pm MT until all results are in. Led by on-air personalities Erin Strate and Phoenix, Election 2013 will include up-to-the-minute poll results from all 14 Calgary Wards as voters cast their ballots for both Councilor and School Board Trustee roles.
Shaw TV Calgary will also have reporters live, on-location from the election headquarters of incumbent Mayor Naheed Nenshi, former alderman and MLA Jon Lord, plus will carry regular voting updates from the outlying communities of Strathmore, Chestermere, High River, Okotoks, Airdrie, Crossfield, Carstairs, Didsbury, Cochrane, Canmore and Banff.
Shaw TV Calgary airs on Channel 10. Live streaming coverage, as well as online reports and additional context, will made available throughout the evening.
