Shaw to raise $300 million

CALGARY – Shaw Communications announced a $300 million senior note offering to repay existing bank debt and for working capital. The company will sell the aggregate principal amount of 6.15% senior unsecured notes, due May 2016, to a syndicate co-led by TD Securities Inc. and RBC Capital Markets, which will resell the notes. A preliminary short form prospectus has been filed with securities regulatory authorities in all Canadian provinces in connection with the sale of the notes.
