
VANCOUVER – Shaw Communications has finalized a new a new partnership with TransLink to provide WiFi connectivity to its SeaBus ferry route in Metro Vancouver.
Shaw Go WiFi will be available to all SeaBus passengers at both the Waterfront and Lonsdale Quay terminals for free starting this week, and will be installed on all TransLink SeaBus ferries in the coming months.
Passengers who are not Shaw customers may use Shaw Go WiFi access by selecting 'ShawGuest' from the list of available WiFi settings and following the on-screen instructions to connect. All Shaw Internet customers have complimentary access to all SeaBus hot spots as part of their subscription.
"Most people who use the SeaBus value having access to a fast, reliable Internet connection," said Shaw VP operations Katherine Emberly, in the news release. "Whether it's looking for ways to stay productive during the morning commute or catching up with friends on social media, this partnership with TransLink will give all SeaBus passengers the ability to stay connected without incurring costly cellular data charges."
