WE’RE TAKING A CHRISTMAS BREAK at www.cartt.ca. Yes, the news will absolutely still be covered and posted no matter what over the holidays, but our regular newsletter service will be suspended until January 5th.
We will return with a big bang, too, as www.cartt.ca will be providing daily reports from the massive International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas!
Www.cartt.ca’s consumer electronics editor, John Bugailiskis, a broadcast industry veteran, is attending CES and will file reports from the floor of the largest, most important, consumer electronics show in the world.
For example, Microsoft has said it will unveil its future plans for Windows Media Player, and provide more details on how the software giant will move towards its goal of being the centrepiece for all home entertainment. This will have an impact on your business and www.cartt.ca will be there asking the pertinent questions.
This is just one of many reasons why cartt.ca needs to be there. I hope you’ll enjoy our coverage.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank all of the subscribers and supporters of www.cartt.ca.
We launched with high hopes in May and thanks to our readers, advertisers and a crazy-busy industry with no shortage of news, those hopes have been exceeded. We’re having a blast, actually.
We’ve tried to pay back that support by bringing you interesting, entertaining, original content that goes deeper than the press release. We hope that has struck a chord with you (and if you’ve got any ideas for improving cartt.ca, don’t hesitate to e-mail me at greg.obrien@cartt.ca or call me at 905-523-5820).
In 2006, look for the continuation of our popular “Tuesday Interviews”, more special reports like last week’s in-depth look at HDTV, additional features, timely news and even more www.cartt.ca personnel at all industry functions. Can’t report the news if you’re not there to cover it.
So, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, or best wishes for whatever goodwill celebration you hold dear at this time of year.
And, all the best for a happy, prosperous 2006.
