Season two of Global’s ‘Nurses’ begins production March 2


TORONTO — With three more episodes of season one of Nurses still to air on Global, Corus Entertainment announced Thursday production on season two of the medical drama is set to begin in March.

Filming of 10 new episodes will begin March 2 in Toronto. The series’ renewal for a second season was already announced in December ahead of the show’s broadcast debut on January 6, 2020.

According to Numeris PPM data quoted in the news release, the premiere episode of Nurses garnered nearly 1.3 million viewers, making it the most-watched premiere episode of a scripted Canadian series in more than two years of total viewers, and it was the number one entertainment program of the night (January 6, 2020) for adults 25-54 and women 25-54.

Nurse is produced by ICF Films and Entertainment One (eOne) in association with Corus Entertainment, with the participation of the Canada Media Fund and the Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit.

Season one episodes of Nurses continues on Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Global. Viewers can also stream the show on GlobalTV.com and the Global TV app.
