VANCOUVER – Telus says Mason Capital has dramatically reduced its shares in the company with its level of foreign ownership dropping from 33% to 15% (as of Nov. 16). As a result Telus says requests by non-Canadians for a reservation to purchase common shares are now being considered and approved, if they don’t risk causing Telus to exceed the foreign ownership threshold. VANCOUVER – Telus’ 4G LTE network is now live in Armstrong, B.C., Fort McMurray, Alberta and Oshawa/ Whitby, Ontario. Its 4G LTE network now reaches more than 65% of the Canadian population. Telus invested $80,000 to bring 4G to Armstrong and the network in Fort McMurray is part of its $18 million investment in the region, while the Oshawa and Whitby expansion is part of its $280 million investment in the GTA over the next three years.

VANCOUVER – The financial future looks friendly for Telus Corporation whose CEO has decided for the fourth consecutive year to take his salary in Telus shares. 100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. – Travellers on highways near 100 Mile House will be able to use their cell phones thanks to a partnership with the province and Telus which has invested $1.8 million to provide new wireless coverage to stretches of highways in the area.
The three new wireless sites cover the Lone Butte to Bridge Lake segment of Highway 24 and the Lac la Hache to 141 Mile House stretch of Highway 97.
