Telus Ventures invests in Full Harvest, Ukko Agro

Lloydminster, Salmo, Golden now have access to Telus 5G

LLOYDMINSTER, Alta., SALMO, BC and GOLDEN, BC – Telus announced yesterday its 5G network is now available to those in Lloydminster, Alberta and Salmo and Golden, British Columbia. This is part of Telus’s $14.5 billion investment in Alberta and $13 billion investment in B.C. through 2024, according to the press releases for the Lloydminster, Salmo and Golden expansions. Federal Court denies request to pause ban on China Mobile

By Ahmad Hathout The Federal Court on Tuesday denied China Mobile’s request to temporarily suspend the federal government’s ban on its operations until the case has run its course. The Mobile Virtual Network Operator, which resold Telus wireless plans, was ordered to cease operating in Canada this summer on national security grounds. The federal government is concerned the company’s ties to the Chinese Communist party will undermine the security of Canadians. CCTS complaints increased 9% last year

Rogers and Fido see largest increases OTTAWA – The Commission for Complaints for Telecom-television Services (CCTS) accepted 17,003 consumer complaints in the past year – a 9% increase compared to the previous year, according to its annual report released today. The annual report covers the period from Aug. 1, 2020, to July 31, 2021. In this timeframe, CCTS concluded 17,506 complaints, a 10% increase from last year (this includes complaints received before Aug. 1, 2020, which were concluded during the year covered by today’s report.)
