Discovery Go debuts with 4,500 hours of content, with 4K to come

TORONTO – Discovery launched its TV Everywhere app Discovery Go this week, pledging to become the first in Canada to offer content in 4K Ultra HD. Bell wants Federal Court to strike down CRTC’s Wholesale Code, which is a “frontal attack” on the Supreme Court

OTTAWA – Late Thursday, Bell Canada applied to the Federal Court of Appeal for leave to appeal the CRTC’s recently announced Wholesale Code of conduct which it established for the TV industry as part of its Let’s Talk TV policy review process. The Commission released the Code September 24th. From the field to the living room, vertical integration lets Rogers bet big on 4K TV

TORONTO – On Monday, Rogers Communications made a commitment to 4K, ultra-high definition TV that no one else on the globe has yet made. Beginning in 2016, the company will broadcast over 100 live sporting events (300 hours at least) in 4K, including all Toronto Blue Jays home games and at least 20 NHL games. TSN set to tackle Rugby World Cup 2015 coverage

TORONTO – TSN will be the home of every tackle and scrum of this year’s Rugby World Cup which kicks off Friday, live from England.
