TORONTO – Rogers Communications today announced 5G service is available to its customers on the Samsung Galaxy S20 5G series, Canada’s first 5G smartphone.
As of Friday, Rogers Infinite customers and business customers with unlimited plans can access 5G services, where available, on the new Samsung smartphone. GATINEAU – Until now the CRTC regime in place to compensate owners of conventional TV signals distributed by cable companies outside of their markets seem to work fairly well.
Terrestrial BDUs offer distant signals for ‘time shifting’ purposes. It allows subscribers to watch popular shows at a different time by watching a station in a different time zone. CHATHAM, Ont. – Independent ISP TekSavvy Solutions has asked the Competition Bureau to investigate what it says is a pattern of anti-competitive activities in wholesale and retail markets for Internet services on the part of Bell Canada and Rogers Communications.
The official complaint to the Bureau says Bell and Rogers’ wholesale divisions drove up competitors’ costs, while the big incumbent operators’ retail divisions targeted those competitors with “fighting brand” retail prices below their wholesale costs – which Bell and Rogers wrongfully inflated, reads the TekSavvy press release.

TORONTO – Rogers Communications’ Fido brand this week launched the Fido Payment Program, which allows customers to spread the cost of a new phone or tablet over 24 equal monthly payments at 0% interest.
Rogers launched similar payment programs for devices last year, but only on its primary brand. This is the next step to phasing out device subsidies for its city brand. While most devices will not require a down-payment, some higher end devices may require one.
