Rogers TV stages weekend ‘hackathon’ to explore growing second screen options

TORONTO – Rogers TV and Interactive Ontario are teaming up to challenge developers, creatives and hackers to rethink and rebuild the community TV experience during a weekend hackathon set for January 16 – 18 in Toronto. Glentel shareholders approve BCE acquisition

BURNABY – Glentel securityholders have overwhelmingly approved a plan that will see BCE buy the independent mobile retailer for $670 million. Rogers, police clash over fees for tracking suspects’ cellphones, says report

OTTAWA – The RCMP is among a number of police forces refusing to pay new fees levied by Rogers Communications for helping to track suspects through their mobile devices. Bell, Rogers agree to split Glentel

TORONTO and MONTREAL – Bell and Rogers have reached an agreement that will see the two rivals jointly own independent mobile retailer Glentel's Canadian retail distribution outlets. BURNABY – Independent wireless retailer Glentel said Wednesday that the terms of a retail agreement that it renewed with Rogers Wireless earlier this year is not enough to block its proposed sale to Bell.
