Ken Whyte quits Rogers

TORONTO – Rogers Communications senior vice-president, policy, Ken Whyte has resigned. He announced the move in a tweet Monday morning saying “Many thanks to my friends at rogers for 12 happy, fruitful years. Resigned this morning! Rogers donation will lift students to Gigabit learning

TORONTO – Twenty public schools that risked being left out of the Toronto District School Board’s plans to upgrade broadband connectivity are about to get a leap into the gigabit world thanks to a donation from Rogers Communications. The cableco said Thursday that it has started a three-year pilot project to bring its Ignite Gigabit Internet service to the schools, which are among 32 now serviced only by Bell Canada’s legacy copper-wire ADSL service. Rogers EnRoute now available across entire footprint

TORONTO – Rogers EnRoute, the company’s customer service tool which allows subscribers to use their smartphone to track exactly when a technician will arrive for an installation or service call, is now available across the entire Rogers Cable footprint, the company announced Monday. Sportsnet readies Toronto Blue Jays coverage; all home games in 4K

TORONTO – As Canada’s boys of summer prepare to take the field, Rogers’ Sportsnet will once again offer extensive Toronto Blue Jays coverage on TV, radio and digitally. All 162 Blue Jays games will be available on Sportsnet, Sportsnet Now and the Sportsnet Radio Network.  Sportsnet will also produce and air all of the team’s 81 home games in 4K.  The 2017 Blue Jays campaign gets underway on Monday, April 3 with the season opener against the Baltimore Orioles at 2:00 PM ET/11:00 AM PT.
