Rogers generates the most consumer complaints about telecom and TV services, says CCTS annual report

For the first time in the 15-year history of the Commission for Complaints for Telecom-television Services (CCTS), Rogers has surpassed Bell in consumer complaints about telecom and TV services, according to the CCTS’s 2022-23 annual report, released Tuesday. Between Aug. 1, 2022, and July 31, 2023, the CCTS accepted a total of 14,617 consumer complaints, representing a 14 per cent increase over the previous year, the report says, noting these complaints included increases in issues about quality of service, roaming charges, and contract disclosure issues. Rogers and Lynk Global announced early Thursday morning they have successfully completed Canada’s first satellite-to-mobile phone call using Samsung S22 smartphones. The call took place Sunday, Dec. 10 in historic Heart’s Content, Newfoundland, where the world’s first transatlantic telegraph cable took place between Canada and Ireland more than 150 years ago, explains a Rogers press release. Rogers announced Monday the sale of all of its shares in Cogeco to pension fund Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec. Rogers turns on 5G service for customers at all TTC subway stations

TORONTO – Rogers announced Friday that its 5G network is online for its customers at all remaining stations in the TTC subway system and has improved 911 reliability for all riders.
