HALIFAX – Eastlink is offering over 1100 hours of CTV's coverage of London 2012 Olympic Games on demand, the cableco said Wednesday.
Customers may access the free content 18 hours after the original broadcast of the event, and it will remain in the ‘CTV Coverage London 2012’ folder in the main On Demand menu through September 13.

OTTAWA – Telus, Cogeco, Eastlink and MTS Allstream have all told the CRTC that they are opposed to BCE and Rogers’ proposal to take control of sports channels Leafs TV, NBA TV Canada and Gol TV Canada from parent Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE).

OTTAWA – Bell Aliant has received CRTC approval to compete with regional rival Eastlink in Sudbury, ON.
After receiving an application by Bell Aliant last December and a public hearing in March, the Commission said Friday that it has approved the company’s application for a regional broadcasting licence to operate a terrestrial broadcasting distribution undertaking to serve Greater Sudbury.
The BDU's licence will expire August 31, 2018.

TORONTO – Sony Pictures Television Networks announced today that Canadian broadcaster Hollywood Suite will be the exclusive home of Sony Movie Channel and AXN Movies in Canada.

OTTAWA – The dispute between Bell Media and a group of independent distributors known as the Canadian Independent Distributors Group (CIDG) will go to final arbitration on June 29, the CRTC said Thursday.
