HALIFAX – Develop Nova Scotia announced today another 400 Nova Scotian homes and businesses will have access to high-speed Internet after new contracts with Eastlink and Bell were signed by the Crown corporation.
“Eastlink will expand access to 66 more homes and businesses in the Annapolis Valley, and is working with Develop Nova Scotia on solutions to reach other underserved areas across the province,” a press release explains.

SEVERAL CANADIAN TELECOMS have decided to continue waiving fees for Canadians connecting to loved ones in Ukraine.

Telecoms generally against ISED proposal for restricted areas around airports

OTTAWA – Comments submitted to Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada’s (ISED) Consultation on a Policy and Licensing Framework for Spectrum in the 3800 MHz Band, show Canada’s telecoms are divided on which, if any, pro-competitive measures should be adopted for the 3800 MHz spectrum auction, expected to be held in 2023.

HALIFAX – Eastlink announced today it is nearing completion of a new state-of-the-art core network facility in Halifax.
